FAQ
Things people ask us a lot.
If your question is not here, email us — we will answer it directly, usually the same day.
Getting Started
How long from green light to live site?
Five to ten working days for most rebuilds. If it is a brand-new site with no current copy or photos, add a few days. We will give you the timeline upfront, and we will tell you if we slip.
Do I write the copy or supply photos?
No. We write the words and source the photos. You answer a short questionnaire about your trade, what you actually do, and who you do it for. We send you the draft. You read everything before it goes live.
What is the very first step?
Email us your current URL, or fill out the contact form. We look at the site on a phone and on a laptop, write you a short note about what we noticed, and tell you whether a rebuild makes sense.
Can I change things after launch?
Yes — that is what the monthly plan covers. New service, new hours, new photo, edited copy? Email us. Most changes go up the same day. No per-change invoice.
I already have a site. What changes?
You send the URL. We send the note. If you want to see what a replacement would look like, we mock it up. If you launch, we migrate everything cleanly — your domain points at the new site, the old email keeps working. No downtime if we can help it.
Pricing and billing
Is there a setup fee?
No. The design, the build, the launch — all in the monthly bill. You start paying on the day the new site goes live.
What are the plans?
Three: Starter ($15/mo) for a single page, Growth ($29/mo) for up to five pages with Google Business set up, Premium ($49/mo) for unlimited pages with ongoing SEO writing and a quarterly call.
Can I move between plans?
Yes, any month. Email us and we will move you up or down on the next invoice. No upgrade fee, no downgrade penalty.
What if I cancel?
Email and tell us. We stop billing at the end of the current month. We will export your content for you so you can take it wherever you want.
Refunds?
No upfront cost means nothing to refund. If you cancel mid-month, the site keeps running through the end of that billing period; we do not pro-rate.
Technical
What hosting do you use?
Cloudflare. Same global network most of the big tech companies use — 300+ data centers, built-in DDoS protection, automatic SSL. Hosting is in every plan, no extra invoice.
Is it mobile-friendly?
Yes. Every site is built mobile-first because that is where most of your customers will see it. We test at iPhone size before we ship.
SSL?
Yes, free, on every plan, auto-renewing. Your site shows the padlock in the browser. Required by Google for search ranking, and customers do notice when it is missing.
How fast does the site load?
Most pages we ship come in under two seconds on mobile, often under one. Older shared hosting like GoDaddy tends to be six to eight. The difference matters: more than half of visitors leave if a page takes more than three seconds.
My current domain?
Stays yours. We point it at the new site. If you do not have a domain yet, we will help you pick one — at the registrar price, no markup.
Email hosting?
We do websites, not mailboxes. If you need an email setup like mike@yourcompany.com, we will help you wire up Google Workspace or similar. It is a separate bill from us; we just help you get it working.
Support
How do I get help?
Email hello@webworkmen.com. Same person reads every message. First reply within one working day, often the same afternoon (Mon — Fri, 9am — 6pm Eastern).
Do I talk to a real person?
Every time. No chatbots, no ticket queue, no overseas call centre. The same person who knows your site replies to your email.
What is in the monthly plan, beyond hosting?
Content edits — new services, new hours, new photos, copy tweaks. Uptime and security monitoring. A monthly note on how the site performed. Most change requests go up same-day at no extra charge.
How is this different from Wix or Squarespace?
Those are tools you operate. We are a small shop that does it for you. You never pick a template, never touch a builder, never spend a Saturday wondering why the contact form is broken. We do the work; you read the result.
